4 steps that can change your life

I have always looked for people whose life can encourage, motivate me. When I first met Priscilla Shirer's name, I knew that her words, her teachings will have a strong effect on my life. I would like to write about one of her preachings that is called "Moving on".

The preaching is based on the following verses:

"Moses answered the people, “Do not be afraid. Stand firm and you will see the deliverance the Lord will bring you today. The Egyptians you see today you will never see again. The Lord will fight for you; you need only to be still.” (Exodus 14:13-14)

She mentions 4 important steps to do in order to have the victory in the battles of our life:

   1. Be fearless! Do Not fear!

When she says 'Do not fear', she means that 'Do Not let yourself to be afraid'. It means that we make a decision to keep our eyes not on the Red Sea, but on the God who created it.

"For God did not give us a spirit of fearfulness, but of power and love and a sound-mind." (2 Timothy 1:7)

"The evil does not want you to getting passed the Red Sea because on the other side of that sea there is the blessing of God, the promises of God, experienced in your life!
On this side of the Red Sea, you only get to hear what God is doing in the Promise Land, but He wants you to cross that sea, to have your feet on that land!"
He wants You to experience it, not just to hear it from others! You have to believe that you were made for more than just tell other's testimonies. God wants to give you your own testimonies, your own stories with Him! Have the spirit of power, love and sound-mind, instead of fear!

As she mentioned in other teachings as well, she says it again: "When you have two options, and the only reason why you are not going to choose one of them is just because you are afraid...that's probably the option God would have for you."
Why? Because God says Not to be afraid. Now, we can conclude that if this thought was not from God, then it only could come from the other side, from the evil one. Because the evil does not want you to cross the sea, to have your feet on the land where it belongs, where God has prepared His blessings for you. He cannot take away God's plan from you, it has already been given to you, so the only thing he can manipulate is your thoughts, your attitude to the circumstance you are facing with. His key is the fear. Do not let him to manipulate your thoughts! God is with you in your battle, what's more, He already has the victory for you!

    2. Stand still!

Sitting is passive, but standing is active. When God asks you to stand still, it does take effort. Your task in the battle to stand still and wait for what God will do. Let Him to do the harder part what is much more difficult, but Do your part first. God never asks us to burden ourselves with doing the big part because He knows that we are not able to do it by our human strength. But He does asks us to do that part that we exactly know what it is, but instead, we want to show off with how we can do it on our own.

(If you are watching the video in the meantime, you will understand the following statement I will quote more.)

"If you would have just believed that what I wrote was exactly what I meant, I would have saved you so much time and so much energy and so much extra frustration."

This statement could have been said by God to us, right? If we just believed what God communicates to us in the Bible, He would save us the extra effort what we put into worrying about everything. He wants to make it so much easier for us by His word, by His promises, but we want to make it more complicated, we kind of want to misunderstand it because "we know it more than Him".
For example, when God says, 'Do not be afraid', we say 'Okay, but...' 'But, look at the circumstances...it is impossible right now to pay all the bills until the end of the month', 'It is impossible to pass the test, now that I have one night to learn more than the half of the suff' etc.

Be still, do your part, but then let Him to do His part!

    3. Be watchful, open your eyes and see the Salvation of the Lord!

When we are afraid of something, we don't want to see it, like when we are afraid of hights. But, God asks you not to close your eyes when you are in front of your fear! See how God will bring you out of it, don't miss how He will Do something out of nothing! Be brave, open your eyes and see how great is our God, and do not just hear it from others, but see it, live it!

   4. Be quiet!

What does this mean? Be quiet when it is time to be quiet. "Train your mouth not to open it in complain" - says Priscilla.

"Every single word that you put out in the atmosphere is actually you, handing the enemy the tools that he needs to build the weapon that he intense to send back to your way. If you don't give him the equipment, he does not have the resources that he needs to build that weapon he is planning against you."

In other words, when you complain, you give the chance to he evil to use those words against you. But when you speak blessing to your circumstance, you give the chance to God to bring you out of it, to make them to your benefit.
